Jenny Smith Judge Paradigm

These is my first year judging debate in Wisconsin, and have thus far truly enjoyed it, but because it is
my first year I have an issue with rounds that move to swiftly. I can understand everything in the round
as long as it is presented at an understandable speed.

The value criterion structure is helpful, but you do not have to win it to win the round.

I prefer civil debate that doesn’t make outlandish claims or strawmans the opponent out of the round.
Please address the issue brought up clearly and make sure you signpost.

I like philosophy and can follow many philosophical arguments, as long as they are presented succinctly.
