I've been judging for several years, but have no personal experience debating. This means if you are using jargon or a progressive argument, you need to explain it clearly if you want it to count in the round.
Organization- This is a must for me. If you are not clear with your contentions and rebuttals of your opponent, it is possible I will miss key points and the outcome may not be in your favor.Speed- Speed is fine as long as you are CLEAR with the main points. In other words, if you want me to write it on my flow, slow down.Judging preference: I consider myself tabula rasa with a strong preference for common sense arguments that make sense in the real world and show a thorough understanding of the debated topic.Winning the round: Most often the winner is the one who shows the impacts clearly enough that they write the ballot for me.
