Background: Bill is currently the Program Director of the Milwaukee Debate League. He's been connected to policy debate in some way since 2001 (although he took a few years off in the mid-2000s). He was the coach at Hyde Park Career Academy (Chicago) from 2007-2011 and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago in 2010. Prior to attending the University of Chicago, he debated for Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, IA. All of his experience is in policy debate.

Preferences: I profess that I don't have too much to say about specific preferences. Generally, I'll default to evaluating competing worldviews, however, if students offer alternative frameworks, I'm open to hear them. To paraphrase a mantra that seems to be floating around many of the other judge paradigms on this wiki: the team that best engages their opponents' warrants will generally win any given issue in the debate.
